Savahna Nightingale

Savahna is a TV broadcaster and award-winning journalist, who has produced documentaries across Africa. Formerly a presenter for BBC World News, Savahna was also BBC producer for its flagship TV programme, ‘Focus on Africa’ and daily programmes ‘Newsday’ and ‘World Have Your Say’ on the World Service.

Savahna has also produced content for Endemol, Sky, C4 and Five and is a senior editor at IHS.

Savahna is an Ambassador for children’s educational charitable institution Tetknight Education, which supports primary, secondary and vocational education in West Africa.

Savahna has been projects director for a film production company gaining exposure and coverage at the Cannes Film Festival and awards in the Pan-African Film Festival and New York Film Festival.
